Our beloved Agustin Alvarado, Jr., age 72, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 27, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Agustin Alvarado, Sr. and Rosario Mora Alvarado and his precious granddaughter, Violet Reese Alvarado.

Agustin is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Cathy Alvarado; his children, Andrea Allen and her husband, Michael, Agustin "Gus" Alvarado III and his fiance, Rachel Cantu, Veronica Alvarado-Sweeney and her wife, Lisa, and Gabriella Marie Alvarado; his grandchildren, Michael Allen, Jr., Mathias Allen, John Jacob Koehler, Kristina Alvarado-Tinoisamoa and her husband, Tampea Tino, Agustin Alvarado IV, and John Jacob Cantu Mojica; great grandchildren, Oliana Tinoisamoa, Christopher Noah Tinoisamoa, and Isaac Allen; his brothers, Joe Albert Alvarado and his wife, Sylvia, and Alfonso Alvarado and his wife, Yvonne; his sisters, Teresa Maldonado and her husband, Homer, Mary Alice Segovia and her husband, Hilario, Maria Alejandra "Candy" Murphy and her husband, Wendell, Carmen Garcia and her husband, Fred, Cora Alvarado (James), and Ana Alvarado; his sisters and brothers-in-law on his wife's side, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Services will be live streamed through Mission-South Side Facebook Live.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda, Texas.  Interment will follow Mass at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
