Obituary of Francisco Javier Gomez

Our beloved Francisco Javier Gomez, age 66, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 24, 2020.  He passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.  Francisco was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lilianna Gomez; his father, Enrique Gomez; son-in-law, Dominic Cavazos, and sister-in-law, Elisa Gomez.

Francisco is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Delia Gomez; his mother, Enriqueta Gomez; his children, Francisco Javier Gomez, Rosie Cavazos, Brenda Aleman and her husband, Javier, Fernando "Jaime" Gomez and his wife, Ashli, Fabian Gomez and his wife, Karina, Jaime Gomez, Janette Gomez, and Janelle Gomez; his brothers, Jose Antonio Gomez and his wife, Josefina, and Jose Armando Gomez; his sister, Rebecca Vasquez and her husband, Richard; 10 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020 with a Prayer Service and Eulogies beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
