Obituary of Paula Castillo

Our beloved Paula Castilllo went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2020, at the age of 79 years old.

She is preceded in death by her adoring husband of 50 years, Anastacio Castillo; parents, Melchor and San Juanita Guerra Hernandez. 

Paula  is survived by her children, Alma (Jose) Perez, Maria Yolanda (Arturo) Martinez, Miroslava (Johnny) Collins, Elsa Perez, Mario (Maryurri) Martinez, Rosendo Castillo, Bobby (Tina) Castillo; grandchildren, Erick Matamoros, Paola Matamoros, Sergio Zapian, Claudia Zapian, Jesus Javier Solis, Santos Solis, Josie Julianne Solis, Jonathan Solis, Noah Martinez, Leslie Beltran, Edward (Laura) Henley, Ryan Nolan, Perla (Cuahtemoc) Jimenez, Anthony Ramirez, Veronica Bocanegra, Emmanuel Dias, Candace Castillo, Joshua Castillo, Matthew Castillo, Crystal Castillo, Mario Martinez Jr., Fernando Martinez, Lindsey Martinez, Ashley Castillo; 47 great grandchildren; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020, with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. 1st St. Austin, TX. A Celebration of Paula’s life will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020, also at Mission Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Cook Walden Forest Oaks Cemetery

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
