Obituary of Gilberto Guevara

Our beloved Gilberto Guevara, age 71, resident of Austin, Texas, was born into Eternal Life on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He is reunited with his son, Gilbert Guevara, Jr.; his parents, Guadalupe Guevara and Carmen Guzman; his brothers, Guadalupe Guevara, Jr., David Guevara; and his nephew, Job M. Reigoux.

Gilberto leaves behind his beloved wife of over 30 years, Juana Villagran de Guevara; his children Guadalupe Guevara, Mark Anthony Guevara, Gabriel Guevara; his step-children Paty Mireles, Saul Mireles, Emma Ramirez, Jaime Mireles, Carlos Mireles; 15 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; his siblings, Baldemar Guevara, and his wife, Sonja, Baltazar Guevara, Maria Elena Guevara, Linda Villarreal; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

Funeral Mass will take place the following morning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 East Second Street, Austin, Texas. 

Services for Mr. Guevara will conclude at the close of Mass. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.

Nuestro amado Gilberto Guevara, de 71 años de edad, residente de Austin, Texas, nació a la Vida Eterna el martes, 1 de diciembre, 2020. Esta reunido con su hijo, Gilbert Guevara, Jr.; sus padres, Guadalupe Guevara y Carmen Guzman; sus hermanos, Guadalupe Guevara, Jr., David Guevara; y su sobrino, Job M. Reigoux. 

Gilberto deja trás su amorosa esposa de más de 30 años, Juana Villagran de Guevara; sus hijos, Guadalupe Guevara, Mark Anthony Guevara, Gabriel Guevara; sus hijastros, Paty Mireles, Saul Mireles, Emma Ramirez, Jaime Mireles, Carlos Mireles; 15 nietos; sus hermanos, Baldemar Guevara, y su esposa, Sonja, Baltazar Guevara, Maria elena Guevara, Linda Villarreal; numerosos sobrinos, otros familiares, y muchos amigos. 

El velorio se iniciará a las 5:00 p.m., con la Recitación del Santo Rosario empesando a las 7:00 p.m. el lunes, 7 de diciembre, 2020 en Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.

La Santa Misa Funebre se realizará la siguiente mañana a las 10:00 a.m. el martes, 8 de diciembre, 2020, en la Iglesia Católica Cristo Rey, 2208 East Second Street, Austin, Texas. 

Servicios para el Sr. Guevara se concluirán al cerrar la Misa. 

Debido a las restricciones de Coronavirus / COVID-19 de la ciudad de Austin,

los niveles de capacidad están restringidos en las funerarias, iglesias y cementerios.

Cada persona que ingrese a la funeraria, la iglesia y el cementerio deberá usar una máscara.

y practicar el distanciamiento social de 6 pies o más. Si está enfermo o le preocupa el virus,

se recomienda que no asista a los servicios.
