Obituary of Benancio Gonzales Moreno

Please share a memory of Benancio to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our beloved Benancio Gonzales Moreno, age 75, was called home, Sunday, December 27, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Benancio and Enriqueta Gonzales Moreno; and his brother, Rodolfo Moreno.

Benancio was a loving husband, proud father and grandfather. He went outof his way to help those in need and always did so with a smile. He was a wonderful mechanic, the type of friend you wanted in your corner, and he loved to dance. He worked as a mechanic for many years and then as a truck driver, starting in a big rig, ending in a cement mixer. He always worked hard and lovingly provided for his family. His greatest joy later in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will truly be missed by those who’s life he touched.

Benancio is survived by his loving wife, of 49 years, Guadalupe Moreno; children, Hermidia (Steve) Zapata, Benancio III (Elizabeth) Moreno, Linda Moreno, Yvonne (Jeffery) Mayo, Yvette (Juan) Gomez, Lupita Ledesma, Lorena (Jorge) Moreno, Laura Moreno; twenty four beautiful grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and 9 siblings.

Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2020, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary and Services beginning at 5:30 p.m., at
Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First St. Austin, TX 78745. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery at a later date.
