Obituary of Jeannie Ann Rodriguez

Our beloved Jeannie Ann Rodriguez, age 46, of Austin Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, January 1, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Mercado Jr; her grandson, Fortino Joseph Rodriguez III; her grandmothers, Juanita Montoya and Helen Cedillo. 

Jeannie is survived by her loving husband, Secundino Rodriguez III; her children, Adrian Garcia (Paulina), Melanie Lopez (Jesus), Gloria Garcia, David Lee Rodriguez, Fortino Joseph Rodriguez II, Secundino Rodriguez IV, and Galvino Rodriguez; her loving mother, Gloria Montoya; her siblings, Pete Mercado III, Mary Castaneda (Zach), Crystal Montoya (Mallory); eight grandchildren; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and many more loving family and friends. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 10, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home East, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Austin, Texas 78702.

A Prayer Service will be held Monday, January 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home East, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Austin, Texas 78702. 

Interment to follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park Cemetery, 11610 Chapel Ln., Austin, Texas 78748.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
