Obituary of Rudolfo O. Martinez

Our beloved Rudolfo O. Martinez, age 90, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, January 11, 2021.  He joined his beautiful wife of 65 years, Feliz Martinez, and his daughter, Christine Martinez, in heaven.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Juanita Martinez, and his siblings Adeline M. Rendon, Carmen M. Brown, Lupe Martinez, and Henry Martinez.

Rudolfo is survived by his loving children, Daniel G. Martinez and his wife, Brenda, Rudy Martinez, Jr. and his husband, Alfred Engstrand, and Albert Martinez and his wife, Melinda; five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  The family has provided low capacity visitation hours for older adults, those medically compromised, and others who would like to pay their respects to Rudolfo.  This time will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.  Private Family Visitation will follow with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Rosary will be live-streamed to allow for those unable to attend to participate.  See link below.

Private Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Holy Family American Catholic Church, 9322 FM 812, Austin, Texas.  Entombment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Rosary will be live-streamed to allow those unable to attend to participate.  Follow link to Facebook Live Mission - South Side

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
