Obituary of Julia Gutierrez Donley

Our beloved Julia Gutierrez Donley, age 92, was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Monday, February 22, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 25 years, Manuel Q. Donley; parents, Phillip and Eloise Corpus Gutierrez; siblings, Joe Gutierrez, and Guadalupe Rios; great granddaughter, Olivia Rose Donley; sons-in-law, Martin Escamilla, and Robert Montana; and by her grand son-in-law, Kirk Berg.

Julia is survived by her loving children, Phillip E. Donley, Mary Elizabeth Slover and husband Jack, Barbara Escamilla, and Sylvia Montana-Donley; grandchildren, Phillip Donley Jr. and wife Jennifer, Jason Donley and wife Kristina, Heather Donley, Crystal Papic and husband Marko, Elizabeth Escamilla, Trisha Flores and  husband Lee, Amy Berg, Dolores Escamilla and husband Noe Tavira, Robert Montana Jr., Christopher Montana, and Ashley Gonzales, and husband Jesse; and by her twin sister Juliet Gutierrez Cruz; as well as eighteen great grandchildren and numerous loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2021, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First St. Austin, TX 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 also at Mission Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

The Donley family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice Austin and the staff at VPA.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
