Obituary of Roy C. Flores Sr.

Our beloved Roy C. Flores, Sr., age 83, resident of Austin, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, February 26, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Castillo; his Brothers, Jacinto Castillo and Lupe Castillo; his cousin, Ernest Garcia; as well as his loving Grandparents who raised him, Antonio and Guadalupe Calderon.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Connie T. Flores; his children, Albert Faz (Patty), Judy Sustaita (Chris), Roy Flores, Jr. (Janie Flores), Louis Flores (Veronica), Robert Flores (MaryAnn), Rosemarie Flores, Rachel Ortega (Gustavo), Constance Flores and Anastasha Flores; 21 Grandchildren, 34 grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; his siblings, Amado Castillo, Jr., Ester Castillo, Stella Paredes (Joe), Barbara Vasquez, Connie Castillo, and Olivia Castillo, and many loving friends.  

Roy's family calls upon John Paul Faz, Phillip Torres, Bobby Flores, Jesus Ortiz, Ryan Tello, and Nicholas Tello in service as Honored Pallbearers.  

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home-East, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas 78702.

A funeral mass will be held the following morning, Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, at 2208 E. 2^nd Street, Austin, Tx 78702.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
