Efrain Torres, Sr., age 68, resident of Austin, passed away on Monday April 14, 2003.Mr. Torres was preceded in death by his Parents Juan and Altagracia Torres, Daughter; Noemi Beita, Sister; Velia Ramirez, Brothers; Esteban Torres and Juan Torres, Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Magdelena V. Torres; children and their spouses, Oscar Torres and Dolores, Martha Martinez and Daniel, Efrain ?JR? Torres, Jr., and Fred Torres (Sandra) of Houston, son-in-law, Abel Beita; brothers, Guillermo (Willie) Torres and Emma, Manuel Torres and Amelia; sister, Ruth Torres; sister-in-law, Alice (Bertha) Torres, all others of Austin. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 1Great-Grandchild. Family will receive friends on Wednesday at 6:00pm with a Prayer service to follow at 7:00pm at the Trinity Abundant Life Center at 412 Cumberland Road. Funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00pm at Trinity Abundant Life Center with Pastor Eliseo Ruiz to officiate. Committal Servies will follow at Assumption Cemetery. The Torres family wishes to express their gratitude to the medical staff of St. Davids Medical Center ICU wing for their care, love and compassion given to our father during his illness. Serving as pallbearers are Marc, Michael, Matthew, Hector, and Guillermo Torres, Nathan Beita, Juaquin Rodriguez and Nick Ochoa.
