Kordell "KJ" Jordan Stiggers

December 21, 1998 - March 21, 2021

Our beloved KJ Stiggers, age 22, was tragically called to Heaven on Sunday, March 21, 2021. He was greeted by his grandmother, Johnnie Stiggers and grandfathers, Harvey Tople, Elmo Stiggers, Sr.; his aunts and uncles, Yvonne Pannell, Gail Fuller, J.P. Mergerson, F.G. Stigger, Else Mae Stigger and A.W. Stigger.

KJ is survived by his parents, Gary and Laurie Stiggers; his grandmother, Diana Tople; his sister, Cassandra Kavanaugh (Andre); brother, Cornelius Stiggers (Thesly); his niece, Avah Kavanaugh; nephews, Ja'Den Stiggers and Liam Imboden-Stiggers; aunts, Beth Thorp, Rosie Stigger, Sonja Everett, Jacqueline Trigg, Doris Crockett (Richard),,  and Mollie Stigger; uncles, Lonnie Tople (Emily), Brad Tople (Robin), Paul Adkins, Elmo Stiggers, Jr., Don Stiggers, Sammy Stiggers (Sandy) and Perry Pannell; his brothers in his life Darian McDonald and Darius Hintou; his precious dogs, Marbel, Mack, Storm, and Cream, and numerous other loving family members and friends.

To know Kordell was to love him.  His heart was so big and if you were the lucky one to be in his heart, he loved you dearly.  He had a passion for life and he enjoyed every minute of it.  He was a loving kindhearted young man that was trying to figure out his life as most young adults are doing.  He loved his fur babies.  He wanted land to start a bully dog breeding business.  He spoke of his plans/goals often and was excited about his promising future.

Some of you may know him from sports.  He was not afraid of the grind and embraced the process.  One of his grinding mottos was “I don’t get tired” so he’d continue to push to get better…  He wore numbers 8, 12 and 15 on the football field and numbers 12 and 15 on the basketball court.  Without a doubt he made his family (parents, siblings, coaches, teammates, etc.) proud to watch him give it his all.  Which earned him respect from all that competed with or against him.

Those that really knew him knows that he had a heart of gold and he loved being a son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, etc.  For those that he called a friend, you were his friend for life.  He may be physically gone but what he was able to teach us in his short time with us will never be forgotten.

Pallbearers will be Darian McDonald, Darius Hinton, Shelby Brownson, Evan McDonald, Tyler Ellis, and Demarshae Jones.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Jean Luc Parker, Kevin Waites, Mario Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Avery Sullivan, and Markalon Ellis.
