Our beloved Gilberto Vazquez, age 79, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 29, 2021.

He is reunited with his parents, Ignacio Vazquez and Jovita Carmona. 
 

Gilberto is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maria Macias Fragoso; his children, Gilberto Vazquez-Macias, and his wife, Katherine Vazquez, Liliana Vazquez-Macias, and Armando Vazquez; 3 granchildren: Diego Vazquez, Mario Vazquez, and Elena Vazquez. 

 

Gilberto Vazquez Carmona fue un alpinista en su juventud y admirador de toda la naturaleza. Excelente hijo y hermano. Maravilloso esposo, padre y abuelo juguetón, amado por sus tres nietos. En total un extraordinario ser humano.

Gilberto Vazquez Carmona was a mountaineer at a young age and an admirer of nature. Excellent son and brother. Amazing husband, father and playful grandfather, loved by his three grandchildren. In all an extraordinary human being.

 
 
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., followed by The Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:30 a.m., at  at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. 
The Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 7, 2021, at 12:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. 
Interment to follow at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Cemetery, 6300 W. William Cannon Dr. Austin, Texas 78745.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
