Obituary of Guadalupe R. Hernandez

Our beloved Guadalupe "Lupe" R. Hernandez, age 54, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Leandro, Sr. and Martina Hernandez and his siblings, Mack Hernandez, Pedro Rodriguez, Jr., Louisa Godinez, and Leandro Hernandez, Jr.

Lupe is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Josephine G. Romero; his children, Jeffrey (Veronica) Romero, Carolyn Romero, Ruben Romero, Jr., Jacob (Julie) Ramon; his siblings, Toni Hernandez, Josie (Pete) Esparza, Martin (Elizabeth) Hernandez, Manuel (Berlinda) Hernandez, Ralph (Rosie) Hernandez, Nikki Hernandez, Helen Godinez, and Mary Castillo; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Honored Pallbearers will be Jacob Ramon, Paul Galvan, Jr., Carlos Romero, Christopher Galvan, Andy Hernandez, Julian Trujillo, and Michael Romero.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave., Austin, Texas.  Services for Mr. Hernandez will conclude following Mass.
