Obituary of Gregory Ray Carlin Jr.

Please share a memory of Gregory to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our beloved Gregory Ray Carlin Jr., age 33, resident of Austin, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Carlin Sr.; his uncle, Jacob Elroy Perez; and his grandfather, Richard Navarro.

Greg graduated from Manor High School in Manor, Texas in 2006. He went on to earn his Associated of Applied Science in Architectural & Engineering Computer Aided Design. He was a fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved playing poker, chess, and video games. He had a love for horse races and spent time at the Manor Downs track as a child with his late father, Gregory Sr. He enjoyed watching movies and spending time with his family as much as his family loved spending time with him. Greg touched the lives of many people. His life was truly a special gift to many of us and we are all very blessed to have the honor to love him.

Gregory is survived by his mother, Regina Gonzales; his stepfather, Esiquio Gonzales Jr.; his siblings, Cassandra Leal, Jeremiah Leal, Yasmeen Gonzales, Esiquio Gonzales III (Moenia Melendez), and Eric Carlin; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other loving family and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Alexis, Sean, Logan, Louis, Jeff, Marshall, and Xavier.

Visitation will be held on Thursday morning, June 17, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First Street, Austin, Texas, 78745.
