Our beloved Manuela Surita Cortez, age 96, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday September 4, 2003.Mrs. Cortez is survived by her Beloved Children; Gubin Surita Lopez of Austin, Segundo Garces of Marble Falls, TX., Antonio Mendoza and Manuela Diaz Lopez, both of Michigan, Brother; Pancho Surita of Austin. She is also survived by a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, 2 Sons, brothers and sisters.
Recitation of rosary 7:300m Monday at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 10:00am Tuesday at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. J.C. Cain, O.M.I. to officiate. Committal services will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are her Grandsons.
Family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Pete Garcia, Nurses and staff of Park Bend Health Center and to Hospice of Austin for their care, love and support given to our beloved mother during her illness.
