Obituary of Elvira Quezada

Elvira Quezada was born March 20, 1937, in Austin, Texas. She passed away at home on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the age of 84.

Elvira devoted her life to caring for her family. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Quezada, mother, Victoria Torres Quezada, and her brothers, Joe Quezada and Thomas Quezada. 

Elvira is survived by her sister, Micaela (Mickey) Martinez, and her sons and daughters, Vicky Lozano, Elva Moreno, Roland C. Moreno, Libby Gray, her husband Ben, Gabriel Moreno, his wife Jeanette, Debbie Moreno, and two step-sons, Joe Moreno, Jr., and his wife Maggie, John R. Moreno, his wife Mary, and four grandchildren.

In honor of Elvira's wishes, her remains will be cremated. 

Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas 78702 on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., with the chapel opening for Visitation at 5:00 p.m..

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
