Obituary of Donalda Amaya Hernandez

Nuestra amada Donalda Amaya, de 68 años de edad, fue llamada por nuestro Padre Celestial el sabado, 16 de octubre, 2021. Ella fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Anastacio Amaya y Teodolinda Hernandez; su hija, Reina Galvan; y sus hermanos, Fidel Alvarado, Julio Alvarado y Natolio Alvarado.

A Donalda le sobreviven sus hijos, Melvin Alejandro, Omar Alejandro, Miguel Alejandro, Orlando Alejandro, Jose Alejandro, Gloria Alejandro, Carlos Alejandro, Mario Alejandro, y Johanna Perez (Geronimo); sus hermanos, Mariano Alvarado y Jesus Alvarado; su yerno, Jorge Galvan; 29 nietos; 12 bisnietos; y numerosos sobrinos, otros familiares, y amigos. 

El velorio se realizará de 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., con un Servicio Funebre comensando a las 11:00 a.m. el viernes, 22 de octubre, 2021 en Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin,Texas. El entierro seguirá en Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Debido a las restricciones de Coronavirus / COVID-19 de la ciudad de Austin,
los niveles de capacidad están restringidos en funerarias, iglesias y cementerios.
Cada persona que ingrese a la funeraria, la iglesia y el cementerio deberá usar una máscara.
y practicar el distanciamiento social de 6 pies o más. Si está enfermo o le preocupa el virus,
se recomienda que no asista a los servicios.

Our beloved Donalda Amaya, age 68, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 16, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Anastacio Amaya and Teodolinda Hernandez; her daughter, Reina Galvan, and her brothers, Fidel Alvarad, Julio Alvarado, and Natolio Alvarado.

Donalda is survived by her children, Melvin Alejandro, Omar Alejandro, Miguel Alejandro, Orlando Alejandro, Jose Alejandro, Gloria Alejandro, Carlos Alejandro, Mario Alejandro, and Johanna Perez (Geronimo); her brothers, Mariano Alvarado and Jesus Alvarado; her son-in-law, Jorge Galvan; 29 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
