Obituary of David Garcia Ledesma

Our beloved David Garcia Ledesma, age 73, resident of Austin and Kyle, Texas, was born into Eternal Life on Thursday, November 11, 2021. He is reunited with his parents, Maurice Ledesma and Julia Garcia Ledesma; and his sister, Bertie Flores. 

David is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Valdez Ledesma; his beloved children, Jesse Sedillo, Marissa Ledesma, Victoria Alvarado, and her spouse, Xavier; his precious grandchildren, Mark Vara, Amber Sedillo, Isabella Alvarado, Isaiah Alvarado; his treasured great-grandchildren, Angel Ortiz, Aaliyah Ibarra; his grand-furbaby, Frito; his sister, Alice Gomez; his brother, Morris Ledesma, and his spouse, Frances; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, with Celebration of Life beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

This will conclude services for Mr. Ledesma. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
