Obituary of Andrew Ortiz III

Our beloved Andrew Ortiz III, age 46, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 20, 2022.  

He is survived by his parents, Christina Ortiz, Andrew Ortiz, Jr. (Sandy),and Bernabe V. Cardenas; his children, Andrew Ortiz IV, Alexis Darian Ortiz (Steve Martinez), Zedrique Pena (Delanie Cruz), Daniel Pena, and Aiden Xavier Ortiz; grandchildren, Ivy Sophia Pena, Alexander Isaiah Pena, and one on the way; his siblings, Veronica Ortiz (Jacob Solis), Jennifer Ortiz, Amanda Marie Falcon, Krystal Falcon, Yvette Cardenas, Annabellee Cardenas, and Elizabeth Cardenas, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Honored pallbearers will be Jacob Solis, Sr., Jacob Solis, Jr., Andrew Ortiz IV, Daniel Pena, Hector Torres, Trinity Valdez, and Brandon Valdez.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2nd St. and Robert T. Martinez, Austin, Texas.  Mass will conclude the public services for Andrew.

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

during this very difficult time.
