Obituary of Robert Ynez Ybarra, Sr.

Our beloved Robert Ynez Ybarra, Sr. age 72, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 12, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Ybarra, Jr. and Daniel Ybarra; his parents, Pascual, Sr. and Frances Ybarra; his siblings Frances Arasa and Pascual Ybarra, Jr., and in-laws, Elias and Dioncia Mendez.

Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ybarra; his children, Moses Ybarra (Angela Hernandez) and Pedro "Peter" Ybarra (Julia),; daughter-in-law, Amy Ybarra; his grandchildren, Deja Ybarra, Jazmin Ybarra, Sophie Ybarra, Robert Ybarra III, Adonis Ybarra, Miranda Ybarra (Steven), Jacob Ybarra, Nia Ybarra, Marisa Ybarra (Chris), Dominic (Cassie) Mancha and Sabrina (Jesus) Ybarra; two great grandchildren, Anastasia Ybarra, and Nathaniel Ybarra; his sisters, Esther De La Cruz, Josephine Lozano, and Isabel Ybarra; his brothers, Jimmy Ybarra, Tony Ybarra, and Raymond Ybarra, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-3:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. An inurnment will take place at a later date at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
