Obituary of Bennie Romero, Jr.

Bennie Romero Jr., 70, was born December 19, 1951 in Austin, Texas and was called up to be with his Lord & Savior on March 26, 2022 in Houston, Texas. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Bennie is preceded in death by his mother, Elisa Romero.

He leaves behind to cherish and treasure his memories his father, Bennie Romero; his loving wife of 46 years of marriage, Mary Esther Romero; his sons, Mark Anthony Romero & wife Paula, Richard Edward Romero; his daughter, Audrey Monica Romero; his grandchildren, Benjamin Michael, Giovanni Javier, Matthew Evan; he is also survived by many other relatives and a host of good friends. Bennie will be dearly missed by all those who share wonderful memories with him.

Pallbearers will be Richard Romero, Benjamin Romero, John Garcia, Cesario Palacios, Noe Flores, and David Leatherwood.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Romero and Gustavo Gonzalez.

Houston Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel, 2102 Broadway Blvd., Houston, Texas.

Austin Visition will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

The funeral service will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to
