Obituary of Irma Salinas

Our beloved Irma Salinas, age 82, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, April 8, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Chapa and Eduviges "Vicki" Leal Chapa; her brothers, Jose "Pepe" Chapa and Carlos Chapa, and her brother-in-law, Daniel Rodriguez.

Irma is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Douglas Salinas; her children, Eveli "Susan" Salinas Cochran (Darrell Wayne Cochran), James Douglas Salinas II (Ginger Lacy Garner), and Jose "Joey" Abel Salinas (Leslie Rush); grandchildren, Dylan JS Pera, Robin Allyson Cochran, Alicia Marie Cochran (Cameron Anthony Pasula), Rachel Nicole Cochran, Jamie Michael Salinas, Bailey Rose Salinas, and Harlyn Elizabeth James Salinas; her sisters, Eveli Rodriguez and Lilia Hernandez (Domingo Hernandez), and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  Burial will follow at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery, Hwy 35 Frontage Rd., Pflugerville, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
