Obituary of Vidalina Romero Arriaga

Our beloved Vidalina Romero Arriaga, age 76, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 10, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Manuel H. Arriaga, Sr.; her parents, Santiago Romero and Della Martinez Romero; and her brother-in-law, Ray Yanez.

Vidalina is survived by her children, Alice Arriaga-Pacheco (Jose Alfredo Pacheco), Giniva Ann Arriaga (Moses Caballero), and Manuel Arriaga, Jr. (Belinda Perez); her grandchildren, Della Cruz (Maurico Cruz), Jessie Frausto, Jr., Anthony Frausto, Gabriela Lanae Keys (Christopher Keys), Gracy Juliann Jimenez, Gianna Leann Caballero, Olivia Arriaga, and Xavier Arriaga; great grandchildren, Priscilla Cruz, Michael Cruz, Zaedren Frausto, and Zariah Frausto; her siblings, Jimmy Romero, Albert Romero, Mary Yanez, Ruben Romero, Annie Secor (Brian Secor), and Arnold Romero, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Robert T. Martinez and 2nd St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
