Stephen Michael Garcia

November 26, 1976 – May 5, 2022

Our Beloved Stephen Michael Garcia, age 45 of Austin, was called by Our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 5, 2022.   For those who knew him, his passing will leave a tremendous void in our lives that can only be filled by the wonderful memories he left for us all, who shared his life and loved him.

Stephen Michael is preceded in death by his Father; Manuel Garcia, Jr..

Stephen Michael is survived by his mother; Gloria Ann Hernandez Garcia; host of aunts, cousins and friends.

A special thank you to Gloria Vela, RN, Anitra Luther, RN, Carol Divers, RN, Shane Johnson, RN, Tara Bzdok and all the staff at the South Austin Wellbound Satelite Dialysis Clinic for their endless care to their patients and caregivers.

Pallbearers are John Abraham Fabian, Mario Gonzales, Ricardo Martinez, Glen Lewis, Johnny Fernandez, Eliseo Sanchez, Richard Vallejo, and Luis Alvarado. Honorary pallbearers are Veronica M. Tellez, Odulia Ybarra, Sylvia V.  Zachmann, and Lupe Morin.

Visitation Services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Mission Funeral Home ~ South Side – 6204 South First Street, Austin, Texas from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 PM. With Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM, at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, 9110 S 183, Austin, Texas, with Reverend Abraham Puentes Mejia officiating.

An Inurnment Ceremony will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
