Obituary of Albert John Banda, Jr.

Our beloved Albert John Banda, Jr., age 38, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 19, 2022.  

Albert is survived by his parents, Alberto Banda, Sr. and Rose Marie Banda; his wife, Lillie Herrera; his children, Albert Matthew Banda III, Julianna Banda, Layla Herrera, and Liyah Banda; his brother, Christopher Banda, and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Pallbearers are Matthew Renteria, Anthony Ojeda, Andrew Ramirez, Simon Sustaita, Joe Banda, and Julian Banda, Jr. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Lydia and 9th St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.
