Obituary of Irma Cardenas

Our beloved Irma Cardenas, age 62, of McAllen, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 19, 2022. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus Cardenas and Rebecca Cardenas; her siblings, Jesus Cardenas, Jr., and Sylvia Cardenas. 

Irma is survived by her siblings, Blanca A. Salas (Luis H.), Gloria Rios (Mario A.), Jorge Cardenas (Kelly), Yolanda Nuñez (Juan), and many other loving family and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st. Street, Austin, Texas 78745.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time
