Obituary of Sara V. Ruiz

Our beloved Sara V. Ruiz, age 97, of Woodway, Texas, and a lifelong resident of East Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022.  Mrs. Ruiz is preceded in death by her Husband; Alberto P. Ruiz, and Son; Samuel Ruiz; Parents, Magdaleno and Delfina (Cerda) Vasquez, and 2 Brothers; Alvaro Vasquez and Domingo Vasquez.   

Sara is survived by her Children, Viola Ruiz, Irma Marie Sanchez and husband, Ralph, Patricia Ruiz, and Viviana Smith, and her husband Randall; Grandchildren, Albert Ruiz and his wife, Anitra, Joshua Rendon, Jeannie Ruiz, Gabriel Davila, Asdrubal Peguero and his wife, Anayma, Melissa Blacketer and husband Jacob Blacketer, Angelica Bermudez, Marcus Bermudez, and Matthew Smith, and ten great-grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter; Violet.

Visitation Services will be held on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin, Texas 78702.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 21st, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Fr. Tom Frank Officiating at St. Julias Catholic Church, 900 Tillery St., Austin, Texas 78702.

Interment Committal Services will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35, Austin, Texas 78704.

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
