Obituary of Genaro P. Guerra

Our Beloved Genaro P. Guerra, age 85 of Austin, was called by Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022. A lifelong resident of Austin, Mr. Guerra retired as an Employee with the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department.

Genera is preceded in death by His Parents; Manuel and Amada (Pena) Guerra, one  Sister; Angie R. Ullathorne, 4 Brothers; Rudy Regalado, John Regalado, Edward Regalado, and Raymond Regalado.

Mr. Guerra is survived by his Wife of 54 Years; Celia Lopez Guerra, Children; Adriana Castillo and Husband Javier, Nancy Juarez and Husband Pedro, David Guerra and Wife Ruth, and 3 Sisters; Eliza Maldonado, Maria Regalado, Elvira Regalado, 2 Brothers; Joe Martin Regalado, and Efren Regalado, 12 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Visitation Services will be held on Tuesday, August 9th, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with Funeral Services at 12:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin Texas 78702.

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35, Austin Texas 78704.

 

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
