Obituary of Maria Sanchez

Our beloved Maria Sanchez, age 77, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 4, 2022.  She was greeted in heaven by her husband of 57 years, John Lara Sanchez; her parents, Estanislado and Micheala Robledo, and her eight brothers and two sisters.

Maria is survived by her loving daughters and their husbands, Angelina Suarez (Adam), Sandra Valdez (Joe), Lisa Hoiby (James), and Amy Padilla (John); her grandchildren, Hailey Suarez-Varney (Troy), Destiny Suarez Rios (Cristian), Elaina Suarez, John Rodriguez (Rebekah), Daniel Valdez, Analisa Valdez, Kaitlin Garcia, Mia Hoiby, Emily Sanchez, Vanessa Padilla, Sophia Padilla, and Michael Padilla; her great grandchildren, Cecilia Rios, Heidi Rodriguez, and Mario Campos; sisters, Cecilia Pesina, Benina Cantu (Lupe), Janie Muniz, and Lala Sanchez; brothers, Martin Robledo, Manuel Robledo, and Joe Robledo, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Honored Pallbearers will be John Padilla, Joe Valdez, Adam Suarez, James Hoiby, John Rodriguez, Daniel Valdez, Jesse Sanchez, and Frank Muniz, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Sta. Julia Catholic Church, Lyons and Tillery St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 34 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
