Obituary of Mary Amaro Longoria

Our beloved Mary A. Longoria, age 87, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 31, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years of marriage, Tomas Longoria; her parents, Georgia and Jesus Amaro, and her siblings. 

Mary is survived by her children, Raul Longoria, Tommy Abel Longoria, Carolyn Longoria Cruz, Alfred James Longoria, Daniel Longoria, and Jonathan Longoria; 13 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, and many other loving family and friends. 

Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and foster mother to many. She served as an advocate with the San Jose Guadalupanas for over 50 years and was a spiritual leader to all. Mary loved taking walks with her favorite pup “Benji” and enjoyed getting her hands dirty in her garden every chance she could get. Mary was loved my many and will be dearly missed. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Longoria, Jerome Marshall, Sebastian Hernandez, Gilbert Briones III, Brian Gonzalez, Jacob Diaz, Matthew Crews, Christopher Longoria, and Freddy Longoria, Jr. 

HonoRary pallbearers are Jonathan Longoria, Rudy Longoria, Tommy Longoria, Alfred Longoria, and Daniel Longoria. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral home Serenity, 6204 S 1st St Austin, Texas 78745.

Mass of Christian Burial  will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Paul Catholic Church, 10000 David Moore Dr., Ausitn, Texas 78748.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
