Obituary of Felicita Mendieta Armonta
Our Beloved Felicita Mendieta Armonta, age 75, of Austin, entered Eternal Rest on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022.
Mrs. Armonta served 30 years of service at the University of Texas as a supervisor in housekeeping.
Mrs. Armonta is cherished by Her Loving Children; Dolores Armonta and Husband Juan Perez, Thomas "Chato" Armonta, Jr., and Wife Sally, Rosalina Armonta and Husband Nico Gonzalez, and Priscilla Armonta and Husband Carlos Rodriguez, Sisters; Dora Heredia, Martha Granado, Frances Segura, Lena Briones, Nora Arispe, Ofelia Aguilar, Esperanza Aguilar, Susana Aguilar, and Sylvia Aguilar, Brothers; Joe Mendieta, Pete Aguilar, Henry Aguilar, Ray Aguilar, and Augustine Aguilar, 16 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren, and one Great-Great Grandchild.
Preceded in Death by her Husband; Thomas Armonta, Sr., a Grandson; Alejandro Marure, Parents; Feleciano and Maria (Medina) Mendieta; her sister Virginia Mendoza; and her brothers, Pete Mendieta and Abraham Mendieta.
Pallbearers will be Edson Young, Israel Gomez, Andrew Armonta, Carlos Segura, Eric Sepino, Nico Gonzalez, Carlos Rodriguez, and Patrick Hernandez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Armonta III, Elias Armonta, David Tello, Jose Figuero, and Nicholas Escalante.
Visitation Services will be held on Thursday, November 17th, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home-East Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin Texas, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Morning Final Viewing will commence at 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 18th, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home-East Chapel, with Graveside Committal Interment Service at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35, Austin Texas.
