Obituary of Simona Torres Monreal

Our beloved Simona Torres Monreal, age 98, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 12, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Pablo S. Monreal; her son, Robert Monreal; her grandchildren, Rosalinda Albarado and Karly Rose Chavez; her parents, Antonio C. Torres and Teodora A. Torres, and her siblings, Teodoro Torres and Santos Monreal.

Simona is survived by her daughter, Domitila "Tila" Albarado and her husband, Guadalupe Albarado, Jr.; her grandchildren, Irene Cardenas, Angela Rodriguez, Lisa Bender, Robert Paul Monreal, Sarah Monreal, Annette Albarado, and Guadalupe Albarado III; her great grandchildren, Austin Cardenas, Timothy Cardenas, Abraham Cardenas, Andrew Rodriguez, Sandy Sanchez, Samantha Sanchez, Harrison Bender, Natalie Torres, Nathaniel Torres, Dylan Abalos, Adrian Abalos, Adrianna Abalos, Christopher Rene Albarado, Bryan James Albarado, and Daniel Drake Ramirez; great great grandchildren, Jacqueline Perez, Joziah Pacheco, Daniel Pacheco, Lucio Leal, and Aricel Cardenas; her siblings, Victoria Flores, Epimenio Torres, Benita Martinez, Maria Saturnina Requejo, Antonia Ruiz, Alejandro Torres, and Raul Torres.  In addition, Simona is survived by numerous  nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Honored Pallbearers will be Bryan Albarado, Timothy Cardenas, Christopher Albarado, Adrian Abalos, Guadalupe Albarado III, and Austin Cardenas.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary and Prayer Service beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  The Prayer Service will be officiated by Simona's grandson, Pastor Benjamin Cardenas and Holy Rosary will be officiated by Simona's nieces.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage St., Austin, Texas.

We politely request those who will be attending services have

face covering or mask in case it may be needed. 

Masks or face covering are no longer required for attendance,

but are still suggested for community care.

Social distancing is also still suggested by not required.
