Obituary of Roy Rodriguez

Our beloved Roy Rodriguez, age 57, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 11, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his father, Marcelino Rodriguez, Sr.; his brothers, Marcelino Rodriguez, Jr. and Jimmy Rodriguez, and his brothers-in-Law, Jose Franco and Ben Aleman.

Roy is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sylvia Rodriguez; his mother, Carolina Rodriguez; his children, Esabel Banda (Adam),  Antonio Cazares, Jr. (Sarah), and Cecilia Ybarra (Alex); his grandchildren, Josiah Alcala, Joseph James Cazares, Jordan Rose Cazares, Antonio Mata Cazares, Roman Roy Cazares, Antonio Jorge Cazares, Antonio Cazares III, Alex Ybarra, Jr., Marissa Ybarra, Alexianna Reyna, Adam Banda, Jr., and Adalynn "Pebbles" Banda; great grandchild, Juliette "JuJu" Ranjel; his siblings Gloria Vallejo (David), Frances Franco, Mary Rodriguez, San Juanita Rodriguez, Guadalupe Rodriguez, and Roy Garcia as well a numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Alex Ybarra, Sr., Adam Banda, Sr., Antonio Cazares, Jr., Joe Samarripa, Eulalio Samarripa, Jr., Adam Rios, Jr., Thomas Galvan and Joann Samarripa.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Ybarra, Jr. and Adam Banda, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Dr., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
