Obituary of Joe Moreno

Our beloved Jose "Joe" Moreno, age 75, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estanislado Moreno and Paz R. Moreno; his beloved wife of 53 years, Adelia Moreno; 

Joe is survived by his nieces, he and Adelia raised as his own, Dianna Moreno, Cecilia Rodriguez and Patricia Rousseau; his siblings, Refugio Moreno (Mary Helen), Manuel Moreno (Anita), and Maria Castillo; and many other loving family and friends. 

Joe proudly served his Country in the United States Army for 3 years. 

Serving as Pallbearers are Manuel Rocha, Jr., Jakob Aleman, Manuel Moreno, Jr., Andrew Moreno, Joshua Hernandez, and Marciano Castillo. Honorary Pallbearers are Sophia Hernandez, Scarlett Hernandez, Melissa Romero, and Alex Banda. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m, Thursday, January 19, 2023, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745.

Mass will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at  Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Dr., Austin, Texas 78741.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
