Obituary of Eduardo "Brown" Castro, Sr.

Our beloved Eduardo "Brown" Calvo Castro, Sr., age 73, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 9, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro, Sr. and Mercedes Castro, and his siblings, Pedro Castro, Sr., Juanita Castro, Francisco Castro, Sr.., Elias Castro, Sr., Daniel Castro, Sr., David Castro, Sr., and Alejandro Castro, Jr.

Eduardo proudly serviced our country as a member of the United States Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam War.  We are grateful for his service. He was also a hot rod mechanic and well known in the car club circuit and the East Side car enthusiasts.

Eduardo is survived by his children, Edward Castro, Jr. (Angelica) and Mercedes Castro (Ramsey Campos); his treasured grandchildren, Edward Alexander Castro, Ryan Mata, Jackson Eldridge, Rylee Campos and Manuel Campos; his sister, Oralia Molina (Baldemar), and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Molina, Alejandro Castro III, Ryan Elijah Mata, Daniel Castro III, Anastaccio Medina, and Elias Castro, Jr.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Herman A. Molina and Edward Alexander Castro.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  Interment will follow.
