Obituary of Arthur Lee Casares, Sr.

Our beloved Arthur Lee Casares, Sr., age 60, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe J. II and Berta Casares, and his siblings, Fidel Gonzales and Elsie Mata.

Arthur is survived by his children, Rozlyn Segura, Arthur Lee Casares, Jr., and Lauren Casares; his grandchildren, Julia, Devin, Jayden, Amani, Arthur III, Samantha, Matthew, Faith, Ezekiel, Maximus and Maliyah; his siblings, Guadalupe "Wally" Casares III (Vangie), Sammy Casares (Patty), Leticia Vasquez (Roger), and Nelda Casares, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ted Villegas, Alex Orona, Marcellino Mata, Mark Mata, Jay Padilla and Samuel Padilla.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Cantu, Joe Balandran, and John Zavala.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Sta. Julia Catholic Church, Lyon and Tillery St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
