Obituary of Betty Jane Ybarra

Our beloved Betty Jane Ybarra, age 68, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 19, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Janey Lopez; her sister, Guadalupe Trevino, her father-in-law, Andres Ybarra; mother-in-law, Vilma Ybarra; sisters-in-law, Virginia Ybarra and Lydia Ybarra, and her brothers-in-law, Frank Trevino, Paul Worth, and Raymond Gomez.

Betty is survived by her husband of near 49 years, Frank Ybarra; her children, Frank Ybarra, Jr., Janie Nicole Ybarra, and Jesse Ybarra (Kimberly); her treasured grandchildren, Lillianna Ybarra and Dylan Flores; her siblings, David Lopez, Jr. (Rosie), Francis Gomez, and Eva Ledesma (Abraham Michael); her brother-in-law, Andy Ybarra (Trudi); her sisters-in-law, Sandra Worth and Janie Gotts, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family, friends, fur-children, and grandpugs.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Cronin, John Henry Trevino, David Lopez III, Gilbert Lopez, Jimmy Gomez, and Edward Gomez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Frank Trevino, Jr., Jeffrey Trevino, and Abraham Michael Ledesma. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.  The family extends an invitation to food and fellowship at the San Jose Parrish Hall following the burial.
