Obituary of Catarina Ortiz
Our beloved Catarina Ortiz, age 97, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nieves Flores and Esperanza Flores; her husband, Jose Ortiz; her siblings, Nieves Flores, Gabriel Flores, Esperanza Acosta, Trinidad Flores and Gonzala Flores.
Catarina is survived by her son, Valentine Ortiz; her grandchildren, Margaret Ortiz, and Albert Anthony Ortiz, and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin Texas 78745.
Mass will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 E 2nd Street, Austin Texas 78702.
Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
