Obituary of Francisca Castillo

Nuestra amada Francisca Castillo, de 83 años, fue llamada a nuestro Padre Celestial el miércoles 8 de marzo de 2023. Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo por 48 años, Abel Castillo, sus padres, Pas y Jesús Méndez, y su hermano, Nemesio Dimas.

A Francisca le sobreviven sus hijos, José Castillo, Refugio Castillo (Adriana Madrigal), Juan Castillo, Ubaldo Castillo, Zoila Ponder (Jeff DuPree), Eva Castillo (Guillermo Banda), Armandina Patiño (Jaime), Coral Arce (Ramiro), Francisca Faz (Víctor) y Rubén Castillo; sus nietos, Katherine, Tina, Juan, Jr., Christian, Jazmine, April, Damian, Johnny, Sarah, Marisol, Melanie, Yaneli, Yaisel, Daniel, Melissa, Kaylee, Liseth, Mia, Erik, Tiana, Isabel, Ruben, Camila, Jonathan y Abel; ocho bisnietos; sus hermanos, Lauro Dimas, Aquilina Dimas, Placida Dimas y Maria Dimas, así como numerosas sobrinas, sobrinos, otros familiares y amigos cariñosos, y su fiel compañero peludo, Charlie.

Los portadores del féretro honrados serán sus nietos, Juan, Jr., Christian, Damian, Johnny, Daniel y Erik.

El velorio se llevará a cabo de 5:00 a 9:00 p.m. con rezo del Santo Rosario a partir de las 19:00 horas. el viernes, 17 de marzo de 2023 en Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

La misa de cristiana sepultura comenzará a las 10:00 a. m. el sábado 18 de marzo de 2023 en la iglesia católica Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1206 E. 9th St., Austin, Texas. El entierro seguirá en el Cementerio de la Asunción, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Our beloved Francisca Castillo, age 83, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Abel Castillo, her parents, Pas and Jesus Mendez, and her brother, Nemesio Dimas. 

Francisca is survived by her children, Jose Castillo, Refugio Castillo (Adriana Madrigal), Juan Castillo, Ubaldo Castillo, Zoila Ponder (Jeff DuPree), Eva Castillo (Guillermo Banda), Armandina Patiño (Jaime), Coral Arce (Ramiro), Francisca Faz (Victor), and Ruben Castillo; her grandchildren, Katherine, Tina, Juan, Jr., Christian, Jazmine, April, Damian, Johnny, Sarah, Marisol, Melanie, Yaneli, Yaisel, Daniel, Melissa, Kaylee, Liseth, Mia, Erik, Tiana, Isabel, Ruben, Camila, Jonathan, and Abel; eight great-grandchildren; her siblings, Lauro Dimas, Aquilina Dimas, Placida Dimas and Maria Dimas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends, and her faithful furry companion, Charlie.

Honored Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Juan, Jr., Christian, Damian, Johnny, Daniel, and Erik.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. 9th St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
