Obituary of Guillermo Zuniga

Our beloved Guillermo "Willie" Zuniga, age 71, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 12, 2023. 

He was preceded in death by his biological Mother, Estad Munoz ; His parents, Eugenio and Guadalupe Zuniga; as well as his parents, Zaragoza and Maria Guerrero; His siblings, Audelia Zuniga Cervantes, Eugenio Zuniga, Jr., Valentina Guerrero , Juanita Perez, Atanasio Guerrero , Anestasio Guerrero , Alejos Guerrero , Avarista Guerrero , Justo Guerrero, and Agustine Suniga Jr.

Guillermo is survived by His loving wife of 51 years, Adelaida Banda Zuniga; His children, Mary Esther Miranda, William Eugene Zuniga (Kina), Sandra Zuniga-Villanueva, Elizabeth Alonzo (Ruben), Joe Zuniga Sr. (Glena), Christina Zuniga, John Zuniga, (Krystal), Adelaida “Lollie” Zuniga -Hernandez, and Matthew Cruz Zuniga (Kayla). His siblings, Matilde Mindieta, Catarina Rosales, Pomposa Guerrero, Florentino Guerrero, Anselmo Guerrero, Zaragoza Guerrero Jr., Alejandra Sedillo, Noe Guerrero, Raymond Zuniga, Sylvia Garcia, Joe Zuniga, Martin Zuniga, Linda Sanchez, Maria Guadalupe Paz, Mina Duenes, and Sulema Pena, 33 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and many other loving family and friends.

Serving as Pallbears: Michael Zuniga, Kaleb Zuniga, William Cruz Zuniga, Joe Zuniga Jr., Joshua Zuniga, Xavier Zuniga, Jonathan Hernandez, and Eric Zuniga . Honorary Pallbears: Camila Sanchez, and Ruben Alonso Jr.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street Austin, Texas 78745.

Mass will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E 9th Street, Austin, Texas 78702. 

Burial to follow at Hornsby Bend Cemetery, FM 969 (Webberville Rd) Austin, Texas 

Fellowship reception to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Hall.
