Our beloved wife and mother Mary Elizabeth Johnson Maldonado, was born in Bartstown Kentucky to Briget and Clay Johnson, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 1999. She came to Texas in 1945, shortly after her marriage, and over the next 20 years, was blessed with nine children. No matter what hardship she endured, she always gave unselfishly of herself to her husband and children. She is preceded in death by her daughter Louise Reiser, her grandson, Ruben Ruiz and granddaughter Brandi Reiser. Survivors include husband of 55years Thomas Maldonado; sister, Kate Colcord of Natick, MA; brother, William Robert Johnson of Ft. Wayne, IN; her children and their spouses, Anita and Chris Sosa, Gloria and John Kruse, Betty and Ray Pena, Thomas Jr., Nancy and Ike Bilke, Felicha and Bill Buggy, Lorane and Rick Balker, and John Robert. She also leaves 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Wake will be held Thursday at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be Friday, 11am at Mission Funeral Home. Pastor Jimmy Seal of the Jubilee Christian Center will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are members of the family.
